Scabies are a parasitic infectious disease. It is characterized by severe itching, redness, swelling, bubble rashes, the presence of scabies. The disease is transmitted by itch mite. The female parasite buries into the stratum corneum of the epidermis, where it breaks the itch. In such moves, mites lay eggs, from which 3-5 days later the larvae hatch, and from them - scabies mites. A new generation of ticks appears about two months later. Strokes can be found in the wrist and tarsus, in the interdigital folds of the arms and legs, buttocks, inner surfaces of the thighs and genitals, sometimes in the abdomen. Usually the places of combing are better visible than the moves themselves, dug by the itch mites.

Symptoms

  • Severe itching.

  • Narrow, resembling traces of pricks, moves in the skin about 1 cm long.

Causes

The disease is caused by females of scabies ticks, reaching about 0.5 mm. Infection occurs with direct contact, for example, sexual intercourse or direct contact with a patient with scabies. However, you can get infected in another way, for example, through contaminated bedding, clothes and various things. Slobbering people with a low hygienic culture are more often infected: they rarely wash and change their bed.

Treatment

In the treatment of scabies, it is necessary to treat the patient's partner and his family members, otherwise, they will later infect each other again. A widely spread and proven therapeutic method is careful care of the body and rubbing certain medicines containing sulfur into the entire skin of the body (excluding the head). The medicine is left for a while, then washed off. Treatment is usually successful, but if after the first procedure the mites do not disappear, then it is repeated.

The patient with scabies first of all must strictly adhere to the rules of personal hygiene. It is necessary to isolate the patient from other members of the family, disinfect the room, bedding, things, boil and iron the laundry.

If you suspect a scabies, contact your doctor immediately. Symptoms of scabies: severe itching in the interdigital area of the hands and feet, palms or feet. It can also itch the entire body or genital area. Another symptom of scabies is narrow, slightly concave passages in the skin, reaching 1 cm in length, one end of which is tightly closed. Course of the disease

When infecting scabies with mites, the skin quickly reddens, becomes blistered, starts to itch. After treatment, the symptoms of scabies quickly disappear, sometimes the skin may itch for another week.

Scabies itself is not dangerous. However, due to severe itching - very unpleasant. In addition, inflammation of the skin may begin, other infections may appear. Particularly willingly in the course of scabies mites, some fungi proliferate, the treatment of which is long and difficult.

Prevention

With regular compliance with personal hygiene rules, the likelihood of infection is significantly reduced.

Infecting scabies is not shameless, but it is ashamed to infect other people. If you suspect a scabies, immediately consult a doctor and, before recovery, avoid sexual intercourse or other close relationships.
